Shunt Reactors
MV cables, UPSs, lighting elements with electronic ballast have capacitive character. Shunt reactors are needed to meet the reactive power requirement and to keep the reactive ratios within the desired limits in the enterprises with such loads.
The load profile of the enterprises is changing day by day. In the past, compensation by simply connecting a capacitor was sufficient. However, the number of devices with capacitive characteristics is constantly increasing in the enterprises. It is therefore necessary to use shunt reactors with capacitors for correct compensation.
